2) Alkaline Diet By Victoria Beckham
One-fifth of the Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, along with several other celebrities, has raved about the alkaline diet, a meal that aims to maintain the body’s pH between 7.35 and 7.45. To achieve an alkaline-friendly diet, follow the 4:1 ratio of more vegetables and less grains and proteins. Alkaline diet is said to include higher energy levels, fat loss, increased concentration and clearer skin.
3) “Good” Foods Only Diet By Gwyneth Paltrow
Ever since Gwyneth Paltrow was diagnosed with food allergies, she embarked on a restrictive diet, eating only “good’ food and eliminating food such as bread, red meat, cow’s milk, eggplants, even tomatoes. On a typical morning, she begins by drinking a glass of green juice and maintains a gluten-free and mildly vegetarian diet throughout the day.
4) Baby Food Diet By Tracy Anderson
The creator of the baby food diet is rumoured to be celebrity fitness trainer, Tracy Anderson. The plan replaces the first two meals of the day with baby food followed by a clean and healthy dinner. Pureed baby food is easier to digest, lower in sodium and seasoning, making it a low-caloric (and tasteless) food option.
5) Cabbage Soup Diet
Designed for short-term weightloss, this extreme diet restricts all food except cabbage. This bland, low-caloric and quick fix weightloss diet claimed to be able to drop 4.5kg in a week, though nutritionist expert says that most of it is water loss.
6) Master Cleanse Diet By Beyonce
In preparation for her role in Dreamgirls, Beyonce undergo the master cleanse diet. As part of the master cleanse, solid food is removed and replaced with an all-liquid diet of cayenne and lemon water. This modified juice cleanses claimed to detoxify the body and removes excess fat, however, there are is no scientific evidence that the diet removes toxins other than giving temporary weight loss.
7) 7-Day Colour Diet
The 7-Day Colour Diet is a clever way of incorporating fruits and vegetables into your daily meals. According to the diet plan, it is advised to eat five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables a day, with each day of the week devoted to one colour.
8) Drinking Cow’s Blood By Joe Louis
Is seems like eating a well-balanced diet, including carbohydrates and protein is not enough for Louis. To help prepare for a match, the boxer’s trainer will take him to Chicago’s stockyard to drink fresh cow’s blood from the slaughterhouse. Does it really enhance his performance? Or it is just a plain gross?
9) Air Diet
Named as the “it” way to lose weight by Grazia, a French magazine, Air Diet concept comes from Breatharianism, which is the belief that one can survive on the sun’s energy and do not need nourishment from food. Madonna and several celebrities were linked to the fad diet. Featured in Dolce & Gabbana campaign, the celebrities were holding food to their mouth, but not consuming it. There is only one rule: Eat nothing except water and salt concoction.
10) Ice-Cube Diet By Renee Zellweger
Curb hunger and cravings with ice cubes! This extreme diet involves consuming ice cubes throughout the day whenever you have the urge to eat. Chewing on ice is great as long as you do not have sensitive teeth. Looking through these diets tells us how much celebrities are willing to go just to obtain the perfect looking physique.
